Meet Dr. Maiorana

Dr. Anthony Maiorana is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who is originally from Girard, Ohio. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Youngstown State University with a double major in Biology and Chemistry and a minor in Physics. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from The Ohio State College of Dentistry in 1995.

He is a 20+ year military veteran. While on active duty, Dr. Maiorana completed a One-Year Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Martin Army Community Hospital, Ft. Benning, GA. He also completed a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at Madigan Army Medical Center, Ft. Lewis, WA. Dr. Maiorana’s last military assignment was as the Assistant Program Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training program at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Ft. Gordon, GA.

Dr. Maiorana is a Diplomat of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and a Member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the North Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Greater Fayetteville Dental Society.

Dr. Maiorana has been married to his wife Shelly since 1996 and has three beautiful children. He enjoys all sports, especially golf and boxing!
