DR. ELIZABETH CAMPBELL, DDS, MS

Meet Dr. Campbell

Dr. Campbell is a native of North Carolina and grew up in Washington, North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude from Campbell University. Liz completed her dental training at UNC and during that time she was involved in numerous student organizations. She dedicated much of her time to UNC volunteering in various free clinics including SHAC, SHC and MOM clinics. Liz was selected to serve as a board member at ENNEAD, a group dedicated to treating the underserved populations. She also traveled to Moldova with fellow dental students to address the needs at several orphanages. She completed her periodontology training and Master of Science at UNC where she specialized in treatment of periodontal disease, soft tissue grafting, periodontal regeneration, implant placement, bone grafting, sedation, and other procedures.  She was chief resident, graduate Spurgeon representative, and AAP Foundation Ambassador during her residency.


Dr. Campbell has received several awards and scholarships, including an Association of Prevention Teaching and Research Micro grant, American Academy of Periodontology Dental Student Award, American Association of Public Health Dentistry Award, Freeland Advanced Dental Education Fellowship, Ann and G. Randolph Babcock Fellowship, and BioHorizons Minimally Invasive Soft Tissue Grafting Scholarship. Dr. Campbell is an active member of the American Dental Association, NC Dental Society, American Academy of Periodontology, and North Carolina Society of Periodontists. Dr. Campbell has continued her education beyond residency and is trained in the LANAP protocol, minimally invasive soft tissue grafting tunneling technique, and advanced bone regeneration techniques in implant therapy. Dr. Campbell continues to pursue continuing education through local, regional, and national dental conferences.


Dr. Campbell is a board-certified periodontist and is also certified to provide intravenous, oral and nitrous oxide sedation. She enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and three dogs. She enjoys being outdoors, reading, baking, knitting, and crocheting.
